Sunmarke student, Eylyl, shines with an Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award

We are delighted to announce that Sunmarke student, Eylul Tavukcu, has received an “Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award” for being the highest attaining student in the UAE in AS Level Media Studies.

The Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards celebrate the academic achievements of learners around the globe who have demonstrated exceptional performance during their June 2019 examination series, and they also acknowledge the dedication and commitment of both teachers and parents in the journey to success.

Upon hearing this incredible news, Eylul said “I am delighted with my achievement in regards to my Media AS Level Grade. I wouldn’t have been able to earn this title if not for my teacher, Miss. Hunter, it was my first year doing a Media Studies course and her guidance and assistance was vital in my progress. I feel so proud to be able to represent my school with this title and I look forward to achieving more this year.”

We congratulate Eylul and our outstanding teachers Miss Hunter, a Media Teacher and Miss Toubia, Head of Year 12 last year, for this fantastic achievement. We celebrate and thank our driven and committed teachers who continue to challenge and inspire all our students to reach their fullest potential.

In a recent review with Schoolscompared.com, Sunmarke’s Media Department received much applause when they commented that “The facilities are an obvious asset to Post-16 Media students. The Media area (within Sunmarke School) is absolutely first class, equipped with all the latest equipment including film cameras, multiple lighting rigs, green screen room and mixing desks for audio. The facilities are not simply there – they are being used” which is a testament to the investment and attention to detail within this subject.
