Governance Committee – SUNMAC
The Governing Body at Sunmarke School has been recognised by the KHDA inspection team as being generously staffed, in an outstanding building to enable students to receive a high-quality education.
Our Governance Committee comprises the Board of Directors (BOD) and an Advisory Council.
The Board includes the owners and the Board of Directors who are proactively involved in the day to day life and strategic direction of the school.
The Advisory Council called “SUNMAC” comprises all stakeholders including parents, teachers and Senior Leaders. This body meets three to four times a year and provides regular inputs to the Board. The Advisory Council’s role is to support continuous improvement planning, guide development and hold the school’s leadership accountable for the quality of education delivered.
Sub-committees have also been created to enable parents and leaders to evaluate key aspects of provision in more detail.
Sub-committees focus on the key areas of: Inclusion, Child Protection, Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Learning and Teaching, Attainment and Progress, Leadership and Professional Development.
