JINS is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy of Education, which in its most basic form is a way of observing what children know, are curious about and what challenges them. Our education is child-centred and honours the uniqueness of each child. Learning is supported through our child initiated topics, meaning that children lead the way in selecting topics of interest to them. Our highly trained and qualified staff plan activities and learning opportunities for the children based specifically on their interests. Emphasis is placed upon an interactive social experience through which qualities such as co-operation, empathy, independence and initiative can develop.

Our curriculum is based on The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework of the National Curriculum of England. There are seven areas of learning that shape our educational program which are;

Physical Development, Communication and Language, Personal Social and Emotional Development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding of the World and Expressive Arts and Design.

Our purpose built facilities have been planned and designed keeping in mind the overall development of your child. The naturalistic interiors provide a comfortable environment which is also stimulating while the outside areas are created to help maximise your child’s sensory, physical, cognitive and social development.

At JINS, we understand the importance of a clean and safe environment for care and learning to take place. We pride ourselves on high-quality expectations by ensuring our health and safety standards remain a priority at all times. A child who attends a JINS nursery will be greeted every morning with a clean, fresh and sanitised learning environment. One that has been thoroughly risk assessed ensuring that everything is age appropriate, well maintained and non-hazardous. The children will use changing facilities and toilets which are within their classroom, that are child-friendly and they will be encouraged to practice good hygiene throughout the day.

Should any child need to visit the nurse, they will be loved and cared for by our full-time nurse. They will also have the opportunity to visit our doctor who comes twice a week. Infection control is our priority ensuring all our children are healthy and happy to learn. Equally, our security policies are of utmost importance. All adults (parents/visitors/staff) wear identifiable lanyards at all times. The nursery is surrounded by security gates both externally and internally. All adults are accompanied while visiting the nursery.

JINS recognises that starting nursery for the first time is a big step in a child’s and parents life. Every child is individual and will settle into their new routine at their own pace.  With this in mind, we will ensure that you and your child have support at every step of the way. All families will be invited for a staggered entry week allowing a smooth and steady start for the children.
