Our classes in music, art, computing, languages, PE and others are carefully planned to match each year group’s STEAM projects wherever possible. They also embrace our Positive Education ethos and make meaningful links with moral, social and cultural studies objectives.
Students are taught to appreciate art and design from different periods, created by famous composers, engineers, linguists and sporting heroes. This enhances their knowledge of form, texture, pitch, tone, coding and robotics, pronunciation and composition, and timing and precision.
These skills are further built upon in ECAs, including our Performing Arts elective that prepares students for the annual musical performance. Stimulating displays in classrooms and corridors result in widespread appreciation of their achievements and efforts throughout the year.
