Sunmarke School Dubai is delighted to announce the opening of Dubai’s first school-based Chinese Academy and Cultural Centre. We are passionate about enriching our students’ knowledge of Chinese language and culture.
At Sunmarke School, we offer students the opportunity to develop their Mandarin skills to ensure they stand out when applying for the best universities and the most exciting jobs. We provide early years and Primary students with the opportunity to develop their linguistic abilities with the provision of native and non-native Mandarin classes.
Through fun and interactive activities, we enable non-native students to use their language in authentic contexts. We align our curriculum to the Sunmarke STEAM programme to provide meaningful and cross curricular engagement. We also provide personalised pathways that prepare the students to take the appropriate level of the Youth Chinese Tests to demonstrate their Chinese language aptitude.
Native Chinese students follow a course that equips them with the cultural knowledge and reading and writing ability to match the levels studied in a Primary school in China.
In addition to this, we are keen to develop our students’ cultural competencies through curriculum enrichment activities and an extensive range of after-school provision.
Students are able to deepen their language studies and learn Chinese dance, Mulan fan, dragon dance, arts and crafts, robotics and how to develop oral presentation skills in Chinese. We also have of weekend cultural activities where parents and children can together come to experience Chinese culture.
Our programme ensures that students embrace Chinese culture, enriching their lives a range personally and enhancing their cultural competencies. In this way, they are well prepared as global citizens to harness their skills to enter the international workforce.
