Sunmarke’s art-infused programme in Music, Theatre, the Visual Arts and/or Dance and Media and Communication provides the ideal platform for students to express their creative instincts and showcase their talents. A key focus is the Media and Communication course where students get a glimpse of the media world. They can become student reporters, producing an online and physical newspaper, podcasts and blogs.
Take a walk down Sunmarke’s Creative Arts side:
Our teachers at the Arts Department teach young artists to experiment with different disciplines such as fine art, digital art, textiles, sculpting, pottery and print-making.
Sunmarke’s Music and Performing Arts Academy has a team of professional music teachers providing students with varied opportunities to take advanced courses in musical instruments of their choice.
They can prepare for the Trinity/ABRSM music exams if music as a subject of higher study interests them. Otherwise, they can simply have fun jamming in a school band and learning to appreciate music.
Talented drama and music teachers, a spacious auditorium, Black Box studio and several studios for the Performing Arts provide Sunmarke students with ample opportunities to get trained in dramatics. They get an immersive experience of the creative process behind a production as performers or crew.
Some of our most recent productions include Bugsy Malone and Practically Positively Perfect (an adaptation of Mary Poppins). Our Drama students also regularly enact plays and skits and participate in inter-school competitions.
Students are given the opportunity to develop their 3rd language skills in Mandarin, French and Hindi becoming better rounded global citizens.
We offer 90+ extracurricular activities in high-performance sports, the performing arts, ballet, music, journalism, debate, public speaking, community service, and more, enabling students to pursue and expand their interests and develop their character.
Students are coached to meet the future challenges of university and the workplace through a range of career development programmes such as guidance to top global universities; successful university applications; student internships at leading corporates; mentorships with business leaders; resume building; and mock interviews.
Our Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) programme takes students on a transformative and immersive journey enabling them to experience scientific, artistic, historical and cultural concepts like never before.
Secondary students are given an opportunity to attend a partner boarding school abroad to expand their historical, linguistic and cultural knowledge while developing independence and character.
Sunmarke’s next-generation AI learning platform supports learning through self-paced problem-solving for those keen to accelerate or catch up on their learning.
Students learn to become environmentally conscious and eco-champions coming to deeply appreciate Mother Nature through our Forest School programme, learning in Sunmarke’s beautiful Forest, Vegetable Garden, and Hydroponic farming programme.
